My wife and I visited this establishment tonight, everything appeared to be satisfactory until I needed to visit the gents, the toilet seat was broken and both of the taps over the sink were faulty, (no water hot or cold from either) and there also was a small fitted water heater, also not working. So after applying a small amount of soap I was unable to was my hands. The only thing I can give this restaurant is that at least there were paper towels in the gents. I did mention this to one of the staff, whether he understood fully my complaint is unknown. I did mention that if I was to visit this establishment again, I would be paying a visit to the gents before ordering anything to eat or drink.
My wife and I ate at Indigo Blue tonight and found it to be an excellent Indian restaurant. The kitchen is situated within the seating area so that you can watch and hear the cooking. This is excellent - not only does it give you confidence but there is a great atmosphere as a result. The staff all spoke good English (just an aside for the previous writer - how many of us can speak Hindi?), were polite and friendly without being pushy. The food was first class - I have eaten at Indian restaurants throughout the country, in India and Pakistan as well and this sits along side any I have eaten in. It was not full but there were a number of people there and many others that came to use their excellent take away service.
In summary I would recommend this to anyone who would like good food.
Customers, before you go in the front door of the restaurant perhaps you should have a look at the rear of the restaurant to see the mess & rubbish, before you enter the restaurant, (north street) so you can make up your mind as to what your dining experience may be.
Eaten there a couple of time, the last was the most shocking dining experience of my life. The staff could not speak adequate English. The chef, who could, was aggressive and rude. The food is bearable but not great. All dishes seem to be made from one base dish, each possessing similar flavours and colour. The fact this restaurant is always, and I do mean always, empty speaks volumes. Avoid.
