The Rising Sun has recently been taken over by new owners and has had a major much needed refurbishment. It re-opened on 16th December 2011. The skittle alley has gone and in its place an extended bar area with dining area. Traditional home cooked pub food will be available from 14th February 2012. Sit by the lovely open fire in one of the very comfortable arm chairs and enjoy a pint of real ale or a glass of wine. Great pub for Rugby supporters as its only a 5 minute walk to the ground and matches will be shown on sky from 4th February!
The garden is to be landscaped ready for the summer
This used to be a great pub when the old owners were running it, but now they have underhandedly been kicked out together with the staff (the old regulars of the "Riseer" will know who the culprits are). When the old owners took it over it was run down, dirty and a "dive". It was transformed by sheer hard work and creativity, and also with the help of friends, into a little heaven in Bath, particularly the garden which has a boat taking pride of place in its centre. I can only suggest that everyone who knows the old owners do not frequent the "Riser" until the current "cuckoos" have left the nest.Star Rating: Zero
It must be some time since your last reveiw, the pub has been refubished, is very lively with and excellent bistro resturant, they have kept the games room ,its agood place to relaxx its afun place, the best pub we went to in bath during our stay,
