As was one of the Common Room's early members -preferring it to the more dark and dismal Saville's that it replaced - I have always thought it was an excellent late bar.

It is a friendly place, a chilled-out spot with a funky edge, where you can feel uninhibited without worrying either about a heavy management style or anything kicking off inside from meatheads.

You can chat or boogie, the other punters are friendly, and they serve alcohol.

I don't frequent it as often as I like nor do I know the management personally (just in case you think there is any bias), but I have many friends in Bath and we all been going there for a long time and enjoying it.

If there was any heaviness we wouldn't go, it's not our style.

This is the first time I have ever added a comment because the description of the place by the earlier user reviewers is not the place I recognise at all, and I thought I ought to correct it.
