Not the best comic book film i'v seen, the acting and effects were top but the storyline was abit dull. I think knowing the comic better would've made the film easier to follow.

I had never heard of Watchmen before this film came out and was unsure of seeing it, however I'm throughly glad I braved the wind and rain to do so! It's special affects are fantastic, the acting was good and the gritty story line and array of characters really came together to create an astounding finish! Plus the twist at the end (when you find out who killed the Comedian) is really unexpected! Well worth seeing!!

I read the graphic novel only a few months ago and was amazed at how much of the novel they had kept in. I was especially pleased to see that the opening few minutes of the film were exactly the same as the comic and I was quite glad to see the now cut newspaper seller and the kid reading the comic book in little glipses through-out the film.

I was a bit apprehensive about the new ending but I didn't need to be as it worked just as well.

Five stars for the best comic-book move adaption ever.

Despite not having read the comic book before I thought this was a great film, one of the best action films I've seen in a long time. I loved all the symbolism in the imagery and the great use of the soundtrack. Could the montage in the beginning be the Greatest Montage Ever? At certain points the dialogue was cheesy and the acting wasn't so great, but it's easily overlooked.
