There's certain style about the film with it's glorious Venice setting and classic spy thriller straits, but what looks like something quite enjoyable turns into a lackluster experience. The Tourist is packed with the unfunniest of jokes and is frequently at the infinite definition of stupid. Just another useless spy couple thriller that resembles more of slapstick comedy that espionage adrenaline-pumper. Johnny Depp is as silly as ever, but the worst of the whole thing comes with the casting of Angelina Jolie. Jolie just struts around the screen looking glamorous in an awful performance combined with laughably fake English accent. This is a distinctly unmemorable movie of terrible cliches and a painful sense of humour. Can anything get much worse?
