Heroes is rubbish, stringing out plotlines that should be over in a couple of episodes for a whole series is a familiar television trick.
Push offers more imagination, more style, and more exitement than any trash about superpowered cheerleaders.
One action sequence? You must have had your eyes closed, there were at least 4 or 5 inventive sequences in this film that I would call action, not to mention the tension created between Dakota Fanning's character and the other psychic tracking her. The mind games they play are more subtle than the usual blockbuster fair.
That last point stands for most of Push. The plot is only confusing if you are perhaps a toddler expecting something of the level of Confessions of a Shopaholic. Chris Evans character is not hugely confident and gets his arse kicked around a lot, but that doesn't mean it was a sleepwalking performance.
Go and see Push if you appreciate a sci fi thriller that dares to let you work things out for yourself, and doesn't resort to blockbuster cliches for its action.
I can't believe I wasted my money on this!
