felt massively let down. the beginning was rubbish,no muggle prime minister,no dumbledore visit to the dursleys which would have been funny, why burn down the burrow, there is a wedding there in the next one or will they not bother with that either being as neither bill or fleur appeared in this one.under-use of greyback in my opinion, a very poor ending,no fight to speak of and no funeral.too many more holes to mention, as ruined the series for me,would rather read the book.
With due respect to Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince Director & Warner Brothers Production, I would like to say that they have destroyed the beautiful part of the Original Story Book. Many unnecessary things have been shown, like burning of Burrow (Wesley’s House), breaking of Bridges etc. They have ignored Harry’s inheritance of Black’s Property and Kreacher. The Necklace, Ring and Locket shown in this film is no where near to the exact description of the story. There was no need to show death eaters in Diagon Ally. It was never there. There are many more things like Lavender-Ron relationship break up. Please read the book again.
Why have you omitted one important Part, like Harry’s accident and use of Dobby and Kreacher to track Malfoy.
Ms. J.K Rowling must not be happy to see this film.
I would like to request the Director that please give at least respect the feelings the reader of the book. Even if it would have been a 4hrs movie, it would be houseful. But, what a scrap you have made, I can’t watch twice. I feel really sorry. I have seen other movies at least 20 times. For god sake do not do this for the last Part.
I thought this film was brilliant! Just the right amount of comedy and darkness/action.
If you're a hardcore Potter fan like myself then you may be a little disappointed about a few minor things but overall i think you'll find it to be very engaging and far more faithful to the book than the Order of the Phoenix film.
David Yates has done a much better job on this one! The comedy really made the film for me as it was refreshing.
If you're considering seeing this film then i think you should definitely go and see it - a truly awesome film.
FYI, David Yates also directed order of the Phoenix.
As an avid Potter fan, i am always going to feel a little cheated by the films, and although this is definitely one of the better films, it's still a long way off perfect. Bits that are not in the book are added, whilst vital scenes which set the pace for the upcoming films are left out.
However, i loved the scene in the cave, and Michael Gambon was fantastic as Dumbledore, having a meatier part in this film obviously. Jim Broadbent as Slughorn wouldn't have been my first choice, but he does put in a great performance and really makes the character his own.
Overall, my main grievances are plot-related rather that anything else. The half blood prince ends on a particularly sombre note, which i think left a lot of people feeling like they deserved more, but unfortunately that's how the book goes-not all of them can have happy endings.
Fans... Prepared to be disappointed when going to see this film. It's not the best Harry Potter Film ever made!
The ending could've been better then what it was!!
I thought this film was more of a comedian film. One part that will make you scream. But mainly laughable and not enough action. More laughter then Magical.
