I really didn't know what to expect with this title, however with Sam Rockwell and Jemaine Clement listed I felt this was worth a punt.
This is a great combination of the of old school 60's/70's science fiction (fantasy?) novels, the wonderfully over the top cover art displayed over the opening titles took me back to the dentists waiting room in the early 70's. This is sure to hit the spot if you have an interest/knowledge of Blake 7/Space 1999/Barbarella and like the less than obvious approach to humour. Sam Rockwell seems to get better in each film I see of his and only having recently seen Moon I am blown away by his range, I guess he is getting used to the multiple character gig now.
I can see groups of mates sat around early in the morning after a run to the all night garage for supplies, falling about weak with laughter at some of the fight scenes (glad to see that Bambi's dad has finally got another film role!). I've only seen this once, but could easily extend to 5 stars with a few more viewings!
