I was rather looking forward to seeing it on television last night. Now I am so glad that I didn't waste money going to see this in the cinema or buying a DVD. How could anybody turn out such a pedestrian movie given such a good cast? I know that dramatisation of Jane Austen's novels have been a bit patchy, but when you compare this with the film of 'Sense and Sensibility' the difference is about similar to the comparison between own brand bog-standard fish paste and really good caviar.
